INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD is investigating a shooting at an apartment on Massachusetts Avenue July 3 that left a woman dead.
The shooting happened just after 5 p.m. near the intersection with North New Jersey and East Michigan streets.
When officers arrived, they found a woman that had been shot. She died at the scene.
Officers detained two people but later released them. Police said they believe the shooting was an accident.
Homicide detectives are still investigating.
The name of the woman killed was not released at the time of this article’s publishing.
